Mixed Birch Hardwood Floor Sanding and Refinishing

This project involved sanding and refinishing 100-year-old hardwood flooring to restore it to a like-new, beautiful finish while preserving the original character of the floors. After decades of use, the flooring had become uneven, warped, and affected by moisture, which required extensive preparation and careful leveling before refinishing could begin.

Our team dedicated significant time to correcting these issues through a detailed sanding process designed to stabilize the surface and create a smooth, consistent foundation across each unit. Rather than replacing the flooring, we focused on restoring and preserving the original hardwood, maintaining the historic integrity of the property.

Over the course of this project, we successfully saved more than 10,000 square feet of hardwood flooring across 15+ residential units, providing a cost-effective and durable solution for the client. The completed refinishing resulted in refreshed, long-lasting floors that significantly improved both the appearance and performance of the space while extending the life of the original hardwood.
